When: Second and fourth Sundays from 9:00am – 1:00pm (and also on the 5th Sundays when they occur). The market is not generally held in January but on Friday, 19 January 2024 we will be holding an extra market from 11am to 3pm to celebrate the Tour Down Under riding through Alexandrina that day.
Location: Jeralde Park, Goolwa Wharf Precinct.
Cittaslow operates a stall at the Goolwa Wharf Market on two Sundays of each month. The stall is run by a small group of volunteers who set up and staff the stall during the Market. The Market serves to improve the quality of life of all who live, work in and visit Goolwa and the whole Alexandrina region based on Cittaslow principles.
It aims to:
- Create community awareness of and access to good quality and nutritious food options
- Promote and showcase the skills and products of local and regional growers and producers
- Foster the community and environmental contribution of local artisans and makers of arts and crafts
- Celebrate the unique character of the region
- Encourage sustainable living opportunities
