Joined Alex FM: November 2021
For Calum Paton, joining Alex FM was nothing short of divine timing. With a spark of interest in radio dating back to his high school days at Modbury High, Calum discovered community radio by what he calls “a miracle” — and the Rubytubes Radio Show was born. Calum is passionate about electronic, EDM, and experimental noise — with an open-door policy to any sound. No genre is off-limits. His show is not just about playing tracks; it’s an audio art project. His unique radio show artwork and playlists are shared on Facebook, adding a visual element to his sonic world.
A highlight of his presenting journey includes interviewing Cliff Gregg from Aussie band Spy Vs Spy, showcasing his love of music and connection to artists.
When he’s not spinning tracks or supporting the Adelaide Giants baseball team (Go uuu GIANTS!), Calum works as a cleaner — but his true passion lies in connecting people through music.
