Judy Weeks is one of the friendly and passionate voices you’ll hear each week on Musical Moments — a program that reflects her deep love of music and her strong connection to community.
Although Judy only stepped behind the microphone for the first time in 2023, her enthusiasm and natural presence have quickly made her a beloved part of the Alex FM family.
Inspired to join by fellow presenters Kevin and Robyn, Judy embraced the opportunity to try something new in retirement, and has since found a perfect platform to share her passion for music and support for local talent.
With a career that spans roles as a personal carer, swimming coordinator, and enrolled nurse, Judy is no stranger to giving back — and she continues to do so both on air and off, including as a volunteer at the Yankalilla Visitor Information Centre.
Judy’s musical tastes are wide-ranging, from blues and folk to country, jazz, and rock & roll, and she treasures the chance to highlight independent and local musicians on her show.
Her top songs? Chris Wilson’s You’ll Surely Love Again and Louis Armstrong’s classic What a Wonderful World — tracks that capture the soul and optimism she brings to every broadcast.
