Jeffrey Button brings a lifetime love of rock music and decades of broadcasting experience to Alex FM. With roots in radio going back to 1995 and a deep passion for the golden era of music, Jeffrey’s shows are a treasure trove of retro rock, extended cuts, and hard-to-find rarities.
Before joining Alex FM in 2018, Jeff was a long-time listener and contributor to various stations, influenced by legends like 5KA, SAFM, and Triple M.A mobile DJ for 15 years and a meat industry professional for nearly three decades, his deep appreciation for music never wavered. He cites The Who as his all-time favourite band, with their 1978 live performance of Won’t Get Fooled Again holding a special place in his heart.
Community radio’s freedom and authenticity are what drew him to Alex FM — a station that lets him share extended mixes, full album tracks, and the gems commercial radio leaves behind. Jeffrey is also an active member of the community through his involvement with Resthaven Murray Bridge and the Murray Bridge Community Club.
