Joined Alex FM: 2025
Steve joined the Alex FM presenter team in 2025, bringing with him a lifelong love of radio and a deep appreciation for classic music across the decades. His interest in radio began soon after leaving school, and he has followed the industry closely ever since, eventually stepping behind the microphone himself.
Since 2022, Steve has presented on 5ZZZ in McLaren Vale, gaining valuable on-air experience and refining his relaxed, listener-friendly style. His connection to Alex FM started while working on the SteamRanger Heritage Railway, making his move to Goolwa’s community station a natural next step.
Steve enjoys a wide mix of pop, rock, soul, and easy listening, with a particular soft spot for timeless retro favourites. His all-time favourite artist is ABBA, whose music perfectly captures the upbeat, feel-good sound he loves to share with listeners.
For Steve, community radio is all about authenticity — being yourself on air, connecting with listeners, and playing the tracks you genuinely love. That passion comes through in every show, creating a welcoming and familiar listening experience for audiences across the Fleurieu and beyond
