Support Alex FM – Your Voice in the Community

Radio Goolwa 91.5 Alex FM is proud to be community-based, volunteer-powered, and 100% local. Broadcasting since 2004, our station was created by a small group of passionate locals who believed that Goolwa and the wider Fleurieu Peninsula deserved a voice of their own — and we’ve been on air ever since, growing with our community every step of the way.

Today, Alex FM is run almost entirely by a dedicated team of volunteers who generously give their time, talent, and passion to bring you a unique mix of specialist music programs, local news, community interviews, and event coverage. We live and breathe community radio because we believe in connecting people, sharing stories, and celebrating local life.

Our beautiful region — covering Goolwa, Middleton, Port Elliot, Hindmarsh Island and beyond — is filled with history, creativity, and a strong community spirit. Through programs like Happy Hour, The Long Lunch, and Morning Mix, Alex FM captures the diverse sounds of the Fleurieu — from classic rock and blues, to disco and easy listening, to community event round-ups and live local interviews.

We’re proud to say that some of our programs are even streamed online, reaching listeners across Australia and beyond! Whether you’re here in town or halfway around the world, Alex FM brings you a taste of home.

But to keep doing what we do — keeping local voices on air, supporting community events, and training the next generation of presenters — we rely on the support of our community.
As a not-for-profit station, every donation, no matter how big or small, helps cover essential costs like equipment maintenance, licensing fees, and staying live 24/7.

If you love what we do, please consider making a donation.
Your support keeps your community station strong, independent, and on the air for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you for being part of the Alex FM family!
